Hi, I’m Valerie Nah and I’m 100% one of those lash girlies who can’t live without her lashes. So, I understand why our clients love them, and why we need amazing lash artists in the world transforming eyes and saving lives. JK, but also, like, seriously.
Born and raised in California, I’m a first generation business owner, and the oldest of three girls. If you’ve ever seen me on Instagram, you know I’m an open book about my life. That transparency is important to me because this industry can sometimes feel pretty fake, lonely, and flippin unrealistic.

When I was bullied in high school for not being like the other girls, I never would have thought I’d eventually find my tribe in the beauty world. Having friends was hard for me, and honestly there wasn’t a time growing up that I felt like I belonged.
Then I dropped out of college to pursue my true passion for aesthetics, and started lashing in 2019. Lashing helped me focus my overactive brain on a process that was creative but also structured. And seeing my clients' transformations, their blooming confidence, filled me with joy. My faith has always been something I lean on, and I remember reading that God will take what was used against you for evil and turn it for good in your life.
The pain I’ve experienced in my life made me stronger, but also more empathetic to other people’s needs. I think that’s part of what makes me a great lash artist. My customer service skills come from actually giving a damn about how people feel.
And now, where I was once lonely and unsure of my place in the world, I’m blessed with a whole community of women whom I’m honored to serve. Inspiring my lash sister’s online, hearing their stories, and supporting them to reach their full potential, fills me with purpose! I’ve won London Lash’s Lash Artist of the Year Award three times, and was the emcee at lashing’s biggest event, The Lash Conference (LASHCON). As an educator, I’ve been asked to speak at events all over the world, and each opportunity is a gift I don’t take for granted.

The BeautyGalVal Mission
Since starting as a self-taught lash artist, I’ve completed over 14 different trainings. I’ve invested in courses with Lashbox LA, Lash Makers, and others so I could become the best version of myself. And that’s exactly my hope for BeautyGalVal, to inspire lash artists to strive for their highest potential.
My mission is to serve the lash community through education and create content that lifts the lash artist's spirit. We all can thrive together!
